"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.
I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,
whether well fed or hungry,
whether living in plenty or in want.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
Philippians 4:12-13
We are exhorted to be content, NOT complacent.
"At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and
punish those who are complacent,
who are like wine left on its dregs, who think,
‘The LORD will do nothing, either good or bad.'"
Zephaniah 1:12
Grow where you are;
work hard at whatever you have been given.
God sees and will take care of the rest -
letting you know the next steps when the time is right.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,
as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
Colossians 3:23-24
